Two positive tests and one negative after bleeding

Can someone me please me some advice?

The 1st day of my last period was 26th December gone. I Done a test on the 16th and got a faint second line. I then did a Clear Blue digital on 19th and it said preg 1-2 weeks. I start bleeding on the 24th for 2-3 days and did another CB test on the 25th and it said not pregnant. I'm quite worried and confused! I rang the pregnancy unit in the hospital and they said there was nothing they could do but to monitor the bleeding and test again in 10 days.

My mam bled every month on my sister and it took almost 6 months to show up that she was actually pregnant as any time she did a test she was getting a negative. So she never thought anything of it because she got her period every month. This was 34 years ago times are a lot different now.

I’m so confused at the minute and don’t know what to think

Hi @melg93. I'm so sorry you're going through what must be a really stressful time.
I hate to be the voice of doom and gloom, but if you've bled for a few days and following this have had a negative test following previous positives, it sounds to me like you should be preparing yourself for the worst.
I'm so sorry, but I didn't want to give you false hope as I don't think that's fair.
Given your position, I'm surprised the hospital didn't suggest blood tests a day or two apart to monitor the HCG levels. This would definitely confirm what has happened.

I'm thinking the same but the only hope I have is my mams situation as she said the same thing happened to her.

I phoned my local GP today so I'm in with them at 4.30pm to discuss further they said to come in ASAP when I explained. Was shocked myself that the hospital didn't suggest doing blood's they just said id be wasting my time coming in cause they wouldn't see anything as I'm not (or wasn't) far gone.

I had a MC this time last year and had to continue to have bloods done for maybe 2-3 weeks after as there was still a lot of HCG in my blood.

Just confused as to why it would come up negative only a day after a bleed cause I thought the HCG stays for up to a few weeks after
