Hi I am 7 weeks pregnant and have woken up to discover I have tonsillitis. I am unable to get a doctors appointment until Monday and just wondering what I can take or do to help in the meantime?

I'm just recovering from it too (11 weeks here). I didn't see a doctor in the end but found that soluble paracetamol every few hours plus gargling with salt water helped. And I basically survived in ice lollies for a few days as that was the only thing I could stand swallowing. I hope you feel better soon, it's bloody miserable!

I had strep A in early pregnancy so you have my sympathies! Regular paracetamol and hot Ribena got me through.
