Hiya,

Just had 34 week growth scan which showed polyhydramnios and baby measuring on 97th centile (first baby was also large but never had this excess fluid).

I'm being tested for infection, Glucose as well as iron as I've consistently been anaemic.

I work full time, have a long daily commute as well as nursery runs in the mix. I have quite a busy job and dont start maternity leave until another three weeks.

As you do, ive been googling this which has put the fear of god into me that I'm going to go into preterm labour on the train 😳. Plus, the whole 'cord prolapse' is also bleeping scary!

Any advice gratefully received 🙏🏼

Hey I created a thread here about this recently too - may find it useful :) www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3484754-Mild-Polyhydramnios

I was told I had mild polyhydramnios after what felt like reduce movement & a growth scan and had another growth scan today and have been told the fluid has reduced back to ‘normal’ levels so won’t need any further growth scans assuming no issues with movement etc again.

Are they monitoring your fluid levels via growth scans?

I was also freaking out about the prolapse etc for 2 weeks between scans so know how you feel!
