Hi

After TTC for 2 years we got pregnant in September. Unfortunately, this pregnancy didn't continue and we had a natural mc in October.
I fell pregnant again very quickly in November and will be 12 weeks on Monday which is also when my scan will be.
I am absolutely petrified that I've had a mmc and we are going to find out about it on Monday. I don't know if this is normal after a mc to feel this way, or whether I'm feeling like this because it has happened. I've had a loss of pregnancy symptoms over the last week and have hardly felt nauseous at all, have been able to drink coffee when up until a week ago it knocked me sick, my boobs are a lot less tender and some days feel completely normal, my dreams are not as vivid and weird anymore and I feel like I'm getting more energy as the days go on.
Any advice?

I understand how you feel, I've been through a mc as well. Congratulations on this little bean Flowers
Your lack of symptoms at 12 weeks is totally normal, as you move towards the 2nd trimester many of your symptoms ease off and this is the stage where you should feel more energetic. My symptoms - nausea, exhaustion, food aversion etc went away about 11 weeks and I didn't feel pregnant at all till I felt my little peanut move for the first time 😊 so it's completely normal to worry right up until you either get reassurance from a scan or finally feel the little movements.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about your mc too but glad to know it's normal how I'm feeling. Monday just seems so far away now!

Hey
First of all, congratulations!!

I had an mmc in 2017 at 12 weeks, and only found out at the 12 week scan. I have pcos and we've been trying since and found out last month that im pregnant again and I'm now almost 9 weeks. I absolutely get why you're so scared, because I'm in exactly the same position as you. I had no signs that I was going to have an mmc and although it was absolutely heartbreaking thankfully it isn't very common, but it doesn't stop you worrying does it! It's one of those things that unfortunately doesn't really give you any warning but like I said it isn't too common really so I've got everything crossed for you, and please let me know how you get on because it'll help me too haha 😂 xxxx

I can only add by saying I’m going through the same thing. I had a mmc in July last year and only found out at my 12 week scan , the pregnancy had ended at 8 weeks. I have been told these occurrences are very rare and actually the highest rates of miscarriages are chemicals and ones before you even know your pregnant. Stay positive ! I’m currently 6 weeks and just wanting the weeks the move quickly know, I’ve had spotting here and there so I’m even more on edge despite it being small amount and reassured it can be totally normal! Keep the faith ❤️ Xx

Kej13 · 03/02/2019 11:01

I had a little spotting a couple of weeks ago too but nothing massive! Congrats and all we can do is stay positive 😊

Babycakes1989 · 03/02/2019 11:05

Thank you and you!!!❤️ I’m feeling rougher as the days go, I look tired every day so I’m praying that’s a good sign 😂😂🤭 x

@Wedgiecar58 that's a brilliant site! Thank you- I'm going to share it with my due date month thread.

SRK16 · 03/02/2019 11:16

I think it is probably normal to be anxious in your situation- I had a mmc around the same time as you and now am pregnant again and it’s terrifying. I think try and stay as busy as you can today and let your partner know you are scared so they can try and support as much as possible. I hope the scan goes well xx

Thank you all.
I have PCOS too so I'm shocked I conceived so quickly again. I think a part of me didn't believe that that would happen so I'm automatically worrying that something must be wrong.
Luckily my partner has been great and I've been able to speak to him about everything I've been feeling.
I'll update tomorrow after my scan, I did actually wake up this morning thinking "only one sleep!" I'm relieved I'm getting a little excited!

Hi
Update as requested. We had our scan this morning, told them that I was anxious straight away and she turned the screen to show me as quickly as she could.
Baby is absolutely fine with a good heartbeat. We are a little less far gone than what we thought so are going back in two weeks for another scan.
I'm already looking forward to the next one and feel a million times better!
Good luck to the rest of you, I hope you have good news with your scans too xx

That's such good news I'm so happy for you, feeling a lot more optimistic for my scan now after reading this (although still VEEEEERY nervous haha) xxxx

Clacton · 05/02/2019 19:37

Thank you!
When is your scan?

@Clacton I didn't see the original post until just now but I'm so glad things went positively for you at your scan lovely! I was nervous enough as it was when I went for my first scan and I hadn't been through what you have so I can't begin to imagine how anxious you were! Hope your mind is at rest a bit but I'm sure you'll be just as nervous as I have been when I've been for more scans! x

Kej13 · 10/02/2019 08:40

@Clacton my midwife has booked us in for an early scan tomorrow morning 😐 xxxx
