I had a small brown discharge on Friday night only when I wiped so I phoned maternity triage. They told me to pop a pad on and see if it got soaked with blood if not to try and not worry. I booked in a private scan on the Saturday. I was only 4 weeks 4 days so all the could see was the yolk sac. She said it was high up in my uterus where it should be and there was no obvious reason for the bleeding. I carried on bleeding Sunday and Monday so I went to the doctors. The only pain I have had is lower back pain mainly on one side. I was refered to epau. I was examined and they told me my cervix was closed and that was a good sign. She thinks I have a uti. I started taking anti biotics on Monday afternoon. The bleeding is still on going. Sometimes it's like a very very faint period bleed other times it's a bit brighter more like a bright red bleed. It's still not enough to come out onto a pad and it is only when I wiped mainly. There have been a few occasions where a little has came out onto the pad. It doesn't soak through anything.
Basically what I'm asking is has anyone else had this? This is my second but it's taken 4 years to conceive this baby and I'm terrified something is happening. I've been booked in for a scan on the 11th of February but this feels like a life time away. Is this amount of bleeding with a uti normal?
