Nipple airing?

Hello! My nipples are leaking a lot at the moment and so I have them encased in a bra with breast pads. But with my last baby I got thrush in my nipples and am desperate to avoid infection this time. But what on Earth do you do when you're leaking milk? I can air them for a bit in the day at home but not all day and definitely not overnight.

Upshot: how do you keep your nipples dry and able to heal when leaky and needing pads? Thanks so much for any advice.

Would Vaseline help as it's a barrier cream?

I slept on a towel overnight with them out and it helped lots with the healing

Silk & wool resusable pads are v good for keeping them dry but allowing them to breathe

Any recommended ones @concernedforthefuture ? Seen some silk ones at Jojo

Stupid question but did you have to sleep on your tummy @meepmoop ? Sounds sensible to sleep on a towel - just wondering how I stop it going everywhere

I still slept on my side and it dripped I guess. I probably smelt milky in the morning but I would shower before I went anywhere x

@Nightlights my youngest is 7 now so I'm afraid I can't remember where I got mine. They were fab though. I also suffered with nipple thrush and these were soo much better than plastic-backed disposable pads.
