Soft Markers

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been told about their baby having "soft markers" during a scan... When do they say this? At the 20 week scan? Any other time like later growth scans?

We were told DS had soft markers the day after our 20 week scan, a consultant called as he'd looked over the scan report as the sonographer was a locum.
DS had an echogenic bowel. I remember being scared stiff, we had a few extra blood tests to see if we were cystic fibrosis carriers and I was tested for toxoplasmosis. After that, we had growth scans every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and thankfully signed off as the spot had disappeared.
It was worrying, but the hospital were very supportive.

I hope everything goes OK for you, ask your doctors as many questions as you need to, they will be patient Thanks

@BillyAndTheSillies I'm glad your little one was ok. We have had our 20 week scan (plus 23 week scan as baby wouldn't keep still) and there was no mention of any worrying features, but my QUAD test came back high risk so I'm worried that they still may spot something at a later date.
