Bleeding early.. could I still be pregnant ?

Hi, wondering if anyone could help.
Me and my other half have been trying to conceive and have been in the TWW.

I thought I’d had early pregnancy symptoms for the last 2 weeks. Now I’m thinking it was my mind playing tricks on me.

I wasn’t due my period until Thursday coming. I started bleeding last night at 12dpo. So that’s 4 days early.
It’s still lighter than a normal al period but I think too much to be implantation, but I still have lower abdominal pain too.

Has anyone else had this and taken a test for it to be positive? I was going to wait to test Thursday.
I’ve cried all morning ☹️

It’s so stressful isn’t it? I kind of have an example of both. The first month I had what I thought were pregnancy symptoms, then started brown spotting a week before my period was due. Like you I was really upset, I’d really felt pregnant. The spotting quickly turned to a full bleed. The following month the same happened - felt pregnant, then started spotting a week before period due. But this time it stayed light for a day and then stopped. Got my BFP a few days later, 3 days before period due. So not massively helpful I know, as it really could be either. Maybe see whether it gets heavier and then test closer to the day your period is due if it stays light or stops?
