Has anyone got or bought the Bravado double plus sized nursing bras??

They look like mahooosive crop tops in the pictures and look like they would show if you were wearing a scoop neck top - nothing too low, just a normalish scoop neck tee shirt??!!

Anyone can help??!! I am measuring a small double plus - good god!!

Have got the double plus and to be honest I wasn't comfortable wearing it for anything except sleeping as I felt it didn't give me enough support. Probably TMI but I also felt sweaty between my breasts as they are not separated. I bought 3 Royce Jasmine nursing bras which are super comfy and have been wearing them for 9 months (and counting)day and night!

BetsyBoop · 02/07/2007 21:01

I'm exactly the same as snookie

double pluses relagated to sleep wear as not supportive enough

Bought royce nursing bras & wore them the whole time DD was breastfeeding (16months! - they were pretty grotty by the end though - didn't buy any more as I was only intending to bf for 12 months, but it took longer to stop than planned....)

If you're big, I don't think Bravados would give enough support for everyday wear. I'm small, and found them fine.

I don't know how much they'd show with a scoop neck, I expect it varies with size etc, anyway.

Thanks snookie, not tmi at all - i wanted honesty!! Think I will try something else as I didn't think they looked good!!

Royce don't do my size unfortunately as they are quite pretty, have tried on an Emma Jane which was nice so think I will go for that.......thanks for the advice!

bought two double plusses 9am measuring H cup. they're ok for bodding about the house, but as snookie and bettyboop said, not really supportive enough. ok for sleeping in

the studs are nice and secure though, but the straps are very close together so wide necked tops no good, nor scoop neck as you say.

i also bought royce jasmine from bravissimo which are really nice.

some emma jane bras have hook and eye fastening which are tricky one handed. what size are you??????....royce jasmine go up to a J cup in bravissimo i think!

Hey notquitecockney! I am measuring a 32DD/E (for nursing bras) which is a funny old size I think!

I don't feel that big as my boobs are still hidden by the huge bump (am still 37 weeks)......I just can't see me needing a huge Bravado bra for nursing!!

But then again, this is my first so I have no idea how big they get!!

daisyandbabybootoo - the shop measured me a 32dd/ee, am a 32d at the moment....

without wanting to sound thick - do you need it the minute you start feeding or can you wait a few days until your milk comes in??

I know its obviously more practical to have one but i dont want to end up buying one then realising i need a bigger/smaller one?!

I got one to take into the hospital which was useful as I ended up spending 5 days in there. My milk came in on the 3rd day I then bought a couple more once out of hospital. IMO you don't need one straight away as a normal bra taken off the shoulder is fine for around the house. The advtantage of the nursing bras is that you can undo them and feed subtly without removing your top/ bra from your shoulder.

I got fitted at John Lewis and they were great. They asked lots of questions and made a correct estimate how big I would be when the milk came in. They also correctly pointed out that my ribs would go back in and so I would shrink around my back. I went from a 38G in pregnancy to a 36H. Hoping they will shrink back when I finish feeding

I see, so its quite safe to say I will go from a 34D to a 32DD then!

Thanks for all the help - think I will buy one then in a 32DD then I have it just incase.......!

Cheers everyone xx
