Booking appointment today alone separated from partner few weeks ago he knows it’s today haven’t heard back really miss him :( burst out crying in a shop yesterday as person asked about how he was and how lovley wee are emotional mess I am all the valentine stuff doesn’t help :( x

I went to my booking in appointment alone too. I don't think it's unusual. My husband has come to four scans (two were because this is an ivf pregnancy) and the two times I've had to go to maternity triage later in my pregnancy. Most partners aren't allowed time off to go to every appointment. In fact, anyone else is asked to leave the room for part of it.

If you can, try to separate the appointment from the other feelings you're having. It's understandable you're upset about the split. It's a kind of grief.

Aw OP, I’m so sorry you’re having a rough time. It really is so hard to deal with a breakup, let alone when you’re pregnant and facing everything alone.

In terms of practicalities don’t worry about going alone, most women don’t take their partners to booking in apps, so you won’t look out of place or feel different.

Talk to your midwife and find out about any support they can offer you, when I split up with my exh a long time ago I was under going some counselling (coincidental timing for a different issue) and it really really helped me to process my thoughts and feelings and move along a lot quicker than I would have otherwise.
There’s a lot of support out there for mums to be and new mums, it feels horrific now but you can get through it.
