Consultant led - First appointment today

Morning,

I'm, at the moment, being consultant led and have my first appointment today.. I'm 22+6 and wondering what to expect..

Can anyone shed any light please

I was Consultant led in 1st pregnancy due to history of mental health - all they really done was take my obs, chat to me and talk to me about my plans for rest of pregnancy.

This time I shall be consultant led because of my preterm PROM and my MW just said they will be taking obs, talking through options and going through plans on trying to prevent PROM again and if it does happen again then what I can expect

I'm having my first one one Thursday so interested to know what happens! Mine is age-related, I think it will vary depending on why you are consultant led.

I've been told i may be consultant led due to this being baby number 5 so also interested!

Im 9+4, first hospital appointment next week.

Same as PP really. Just took some obs and asked if we had any questions, took literally 2 minutes.

Haven't really found it that useful honestly but still go to all the appointments for safety of baby. Hope you find yours helpful x

The reasons for my consultant led care are;

I'm 37, I have a history of Skin Cancer, I have IBD and dodgy lower discs in my back..

It was just to go over my existing medical conditions and discuss things I need to do in relation.. I have to inject (or rather my husband does!) Tinzaparin every morning until delivery! Oh joy!
