Advice - 38 weeks cramp/movements

Hi all

I am currently 38 + 4 weeks with my first child.

My baby is a very active one to say the least and last night he moved into the craziest of positions, you could pretty much see his entire body, looked like he was going to burst out my skin. During the night I had maybe 3 episodes of stomach cramps - nothing major. This morning he has not been as active (I have felt him a couple of times but it’s just been a little flicker rather than a forceful kick).

I’m due to see the consultant on Friday when I am 39+1 weeks for a growth scan as he is measuring a little big and also to talk about possibility of being induced as I have had 2 episodes of reduced movement (one at 20 something weeks and the last time was around 2 weeks ago).

I’m just wondering if this is worth getting checked out even though I have felt him move slightly. Im not sure if this would have any relevance but at my routine midwife appointment on Friday she thought he was possibly back to back however this had not been pointed out at scan/appointment the previous week.

Thanks in advance x

Any change in movement needs to be checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

I would get checked. Hope all is well Cake

They say to get checked if there is a change in movement as well as reduced movement so I would get checked if the pattern isn't the same as usual.
