Implant bleeding

I just found out I'm pregnant on Friday and on the night that I found out I had a tiny amount of dark red / brown blood once when I wiped then nothing on the Saturday at all and then the same thing again on the Sunday. The amount of blood was probably only about the size of a 10 pence each time. I'm just confused as I thought you have implantation bleeding before the positive pregnancy tests so now I'm worrying that it could be something wrong. I predict I'm around 4 weeks pregnant. I've also read that having two small bleeds days apart could mean twins. I can't get into the doctors so I'm stressing myself out. Has anyone else had this happen and everything been okay? Any advice or help would be great Smile

I spotted a bit the day or two after getting my BFP. I was worried that I was miscarrying, but went to an early 8 week scan and there was baby! I am 22 weeks now and haven’t bled at all since.

Okay that's made me feel a bit better, thanks! It's so hard to try not read into everything as it says different things everywhere. I'm definitely going to get an early scan for my own peace of mind x

@Nel123baby I googled everything! I think for the first twelve weeks, it’s good to remember that the risk of miscarriage is high whether you have various symptoms or not. I used this calculator and used to watch the odds go down each day.

We waited until eight weeks to do an early scan because we figured there wouldn’t be ambiguity about a heartbeat then. It was difficult to wait even those few weeks, but I’m glad that we did.

I’ve had almost no nausea my entire pregnancy and was convinced there wasn’t really anything in there! It turns out that for just about every symptom or lack of symptom, there’s someone online saying it was a sign of miscarriage and someone else saying that their baby was fine.

Try to take care of yourself and good luck with everything. And congrats!!!

I was trying to find somewhere that does scans earlier like around 6 weeks but I might try wait it out a bit longer. Hopefully everything's okay. Thank you x

Hi @Nel123baby. Congratulations! I would suggest waiting til 7 or even 8 weeks for a scan, as at six weeks, it's still so early that there might not be a heartbeat yet and it may cause you unnecessary concern. Best of luck!

I had a bit of bleeding during the morning of the day I got my positive test. It’s what prompted me to do the test in the first place because I had a bit of spotting/cramping but then my period never arrived. I’m now 33 weeks pregnant :) I put mine down to implantation bleeding or just my body’s way of getting rid of any old blood x

Thank you! Yeah I've seen that most early scans won't do one until 8 weeks anyway so I'll wait it out. Still doesn't feel real I just did a clear blue and when the words pregnant came up it just felt like a huge relief even though I've got two clear lines on 4 other tests Grin hopefully I'll have no more bleeding. Best of luck to you with your little one!! X

Just an update for anyone reading this later with similar to what I described in the first post. I had an 8 week scan and everything is fine. I heard the babies heartbeat and everything is healthy Smile
