Didn’t want to read and run so just wanted to wish you luck. I had an elcs on the 27th of December & it was a lovely, calm experience. A month on and I’m feeling pretty normal, bar the odd ache.

It’ll be so worth it to meet your little one. I’ll never forget hearing that first cry.

Try not to worry, and I hope it all goes well for you.

Good luck. This time tomorrow, you'll be holding your baby. Do you know if you're having a boy or girl?
Only advice is, take it at your own pace. Don't let them rush you out of hospital, if you're not ready. Especially if you have young kids at home.
Elective sections are lovely and calm. Completely different from emcs. You'll get a chance to chat to the anaesthetist, the consultant and midwives. They'll tell you where you are on the list, and then you're all set.

Good luck. I had my 3rd c section three weeks ago today. It all went well, but I was so scared before hand- more than the other two I think (like you one emcs and one planned). Just I don’t think there is much advice this late on in- you won’t relax anyway.

Though my third section is the first I was prescribed lactulose after to help with pooing and my goodness it made thins so much better in the days after!

Good luck. This time tomorrow you will be with your beautiful baby.

Hey, I’m in the exact same position, elcs in the morning. Typically lying awake as I’ve started getting some contractions in my back (I’m 40+5) why couldn’t baby hold off until 8am!!??!

I'm having my 4th c-section today! My one and only elective (although I am currently in early labour stages). I am very much looking forward to it being slightly more relaxed and even more excited that in roughly 3 hours or so I could be holding my baby.
Good luck today

jessstan2 · 28/01/2019 05:48

I'm sure you will be fine, my neighbour had emergency c-sections which she was not happy about but the end result, lovely babies, made them all worthwhile and they are now gorgeous big children.

Do come back and tell us about your new little boy. Well done you! Congratulations in advance Flowers.

Flamingosnbears · 28/01/2019 08:45

Good luck today hope it all goes well you'll soon be holding them in your arms

Try not to worry try to enjoy it all it will soon be over do you have any favourite songs you could play while your getting prepped and having little one? might help calm your nerves and it will give you something to do while your waiting...

Mum7b · 28/01/2019 08:49

Thanks for your replies , I am keeping myself busy at the moment I don't go in until 11 so creating jobs lol. I feel I will regret not making the most of the rest lol.

I will pop an update on here later when I am able to x

I had one on Wednesday, take in peppermint oil if you can as you can just pop a drop in cold water as trapped wind is super painful! 🙈 I also ate lots of smoothies and fruit to get my bowels going (sorry TMI) - I was starving as I didn’t get out of theatre till 3pm ish and hadn’t eaten since 8pm night before so maybe have some snacks ready too. First night I was pretty sore and worrying about mobility picking up baby but amazingly each day I felt 200x better!

Wishing you all the best of luck - not long till cuddles with your little one!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Mum7b · 28/01/2019 09:28

That's great congratulations, ahh yes I hadn't thought about the peppermint this time and I was thinking I was all organised lol.

X

They will give you it in the hospital too I think, they offered it for us it just took a while sometimes so it was easier having some ourselves 😊.
