Early Pregnancy

Hello, I’m just asking for advice as I can’t find any answers online.
On Wednesday I took 3 different branded tests which all came up with a faint positive. Some times you just don’t believe them so I tested again today with a strip test and the test line was barely visible. I’ve had no bleeding, spotting etc so am I pregnant or not? Is the test strip just not picking up my levels of HCG?

When was your period due? It could be a chemical pregnancy (i.e. you did conceive, but the egg did not implant successfully), but it's also very possible that it's just a bit too early to get a strong positive result. I know the waiting is the worst, but try again in a few days, and use first morning urine. Good luck!

Thank you! I went and bought another different brand and it came up positive again! It must just be them tests!

Yes, I do think they can give quite different results early on! First Response Early Result are supposedly the most sensitive.

Yeah that’s one of the ones I did as well as Tesco own brand, cheap online one and clear blue. They’ve all been faint positives but still stronger lines than the strip test. There was a line on it but had to really squint to see it. I’ll wait a few more days and try again. I’m sure I’m pregnant but just not feeling settled.

Just to let you know (as I have been testing like a maniac all week) that the little strip tests have only just started showing up a decent line for me today 5 days after I got the first positive. All the branded tests were blatantly positive! So I think those cheapie strip tests are just a bit rubbish personally! Hope that helps 😊

I took 9 over the course of a week before I believed it. I think if you get a consistent line, even if it's faint, that's a pretty good sign! Tentative congratulations?! Also to @russiandwarf!
