Hi girls!

I've got my 24 week MW appointment in a couple of weeks.. What should I expect?

Is it something that my husband should come to?

Thank you SmileSmile

If it's just your routine midwife appointment it'll just be blood pressure, urine, measure bump and (if your area does it) listen to baby.

This will tell you what to expect from all your routine appointments...

My notes had a guide in it about what each appointment would involve; I got my DH to come to the first one, the 16 week one where we heard her heartbeat for the first time and the one where you do a birth plan.
The midwife let me record the heartbeat on the other appointments; some of them are very brief and it didn’t seem practical for DH to leave work to come to them all

My OH has been to all my appointments but he has a flexible job, so appreciate it's not as easy for some. After your 20 week scan most appointments are quite routine in their approach but it was nice for my OH to hear the heart beat each time and know all was okay.

I had my 24 weeks appointment last week, and my other half didn't bother coming as he had work. He didn't miss anything. My midwife took my blood pressure, tested my urine, measured my bump and listened in to the heartbeat. I recorded the heartbeat again just so my partner could hear it when he got home. I was pretty much in and out x
