Tea coloured discharge - late pregnancy

Hello

So for the past 5 days I’ve had tea coloured discharge (although it didn’t look particularly slimy)

It’s stopped today. I had hoped it was my cervix opening but as it’s stopped today what on Earth was it? Has anyone else had this?

Have a chat with your midwife would be my advice.

I had this the other day and I'm 37 weeks. Mine only lasted for a morning but I gave the midwife a ring and she said it was completely normal, as long as there isn't any fresh bright blood.
She said it sounded like the start of a show and mean everything is getting ready although it could still be a couple of weeks.

Thanks both.

I really want something to be happening and I’ve had loads of other signs but no labour yet :(

I know how you feel at this stage Flowers

Following as iv had this today, I'm 37 weeks and on off contractions for about a week now.

Currently sat on the bed and feels like she's grinding her way out my cervix with her head, it's pretty painful !

I'm ready whenever she is Grin

I'm having the cervix grinding pain too,
I think that's what knocked a bit of the plug away. I was really hoping the midwife would say it meant things would be soon but nope. This stage is not fun!

I really don’t know how I’m gonna survive another 2.5 - 4 weeks of this!

@Ahhhmebowels I'm absolutely the same! Everyday seems about a year long too now Angry

TheVanguardSix · 24/01/2019 16:40

Could be your mucous plug. I always lost mine about 3 weeks before delivery. Check in with your midwife for sure.

kmreeve · 24/01/2019 18:39

@TheVanguardSix 3 weeks!!!!!.... 3 more weeks..... noooooooooooo!
