At my 20 wk scan I was told everything was ok but that the baby had quite a big tummy. They said not to worry about it, but now I am. Anyone else had this and if so what did it mean?

No idea, but bumping for you

Not entirely sure, but know that they like to measure the ratio of the stomach:head. Sorry that's of absolutely no help to you. Try not to worry though, my DS came up as small for dates from 33 wks. I was totally panicked, was then scanned weekly until 37 wks and then advised for an early cs. Went along with it, and DS was born perfectly healthy. Infact could have let things happen naturally. My word, this is a ramble, my point is though, I work myself into a complete frenzy and for no reason. If it was something of serious concern they'd get you to come back in.

They said this with both of my kids scans at 20 weeks.
I've concluded it meant absolutely nothing...just that the abdomen measurement was larger than expected against the other measurements.
Both of mine did have big pop bellies though dd(4) still has in fact....and ds did too untill he was about 5 and a half
If it was anything to worry about ...they would have said....don't worry

thank you, I will try not to worry!

Means baby has a big tummy and nothing else unless they say so! My baby's tummy was at the top end of those little centile things on the scan report and the rest of her was average and the sonographer commented on it. She's a perfectly normal baby!
