Im currently 22+3 and I've been struggling with work, I work as a nursery nurse so it's a pretty full on job. I currently work 37 hours a week and I'm not coping great with the 10 hour days, it also doesn't help that I'm not sleeping great at night and it's making me stressed and emotional :( and doesn't help that work doesn't really care.
My midwife said I could decrease my hours temporarily, has anyone else done this before? Will it effect my maternity pay?

Many thanks x

Work Stress!!

I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and I'm struggling with work. I work in a nursery so it's a pretty full on job with long hours. I have 12 weeks till I'm on annual leave thank god but they seem to be taking forever! My manager isn't the most supportive either, demanding I go in when I phone in sick or sleep deprived, any advice?

I don’t know the answer to some of your questions but I’m pretty sure that they are meant to do a risk assessment and adjust your work environment if needs be. I wouldn’t risk your health or that of the babies for a job! Look after you!!! X

Yes if you do fewer hours right now and get less pay then it will affect your maternity pay as its based on the 8 week period between week 17 and 25 of pregnancy
