St Mary's in Paddington for birth?

Hi all, I am brand new to this, and to being pregnant!

We just visited GP and were told that we have to choose our hospital already!

Our options are Northwick Park - which is right on our doorstep or St Mary's in Paddington - which would take us 30min by public transport to get to (no car)

Please could you share your experiences of St Mary's? They were lovely when I had abnormal smear treatments 10 years ago, but they are obviously a bit further, and I don't like the idea of making that trip in a taxi in labour) :)

(I'll post separately for Northwick Park, so it's easier to find if someone has the same question in the future)
