The instructions are terrible but all reviews say easy to attach. We're having a nightmare!!

There should be a big strap that goes around your bed and the crib. If the height is adjusted properly it's fairly easy to get them to line up.
This shows you how.

We haven’t attached ours as I find it heavy enough to stay put and also like being able to move it out the way easily when he’s not in it. We’ve been using it for eight weeks now with no problems.

We (DH) got it done in the end but even with instructions and the video we were stumped! Not sure why we struggled with it so much!
