I was the same! Realised I was getting first kicks in a meeting at work and broke down into happy tears. Then also realised I'd been having them for a while but thought they were wind - d'oh!

I’m 20+3 with an anterior placenta and desperate to feel some kicks. Like you lots of movement on the scans but nothing to feel day to day. I did (do?) have a tilted uterus so I wonder if that slows down when we feel the kicking too.

kpeanut94 · 22/01/2019 09:59

I'm 22 weeks with an anterior placenta, I can't feel movements as such but when I put my hand on my bump she does kick and I can feel that. It all depends on the position of the baby too, my midwife told me if the baby was behind the placenta and kicking down rather than out you wouldn't feel it.
I feel a kick or movement almost every time I rest my hand on her though. When I can't feel her and she's probably having a snooze I get my feral Doppler out just because I get hugely paranoid.

Thanks guys your responses have made me feel a bit better! 💐💐

I didn't feel movement until I was 24/25 weeks. I have an anterior placenta though. I'm now 33 weeks and feel her wiggling all the time.

MissMoodyMoo · 22/01/2019 10:36

I also have a posterior placenta and never felt anything until 28w! I'm 34w now and can only feel her on my left side because she is so cushioned by the placenta

Kayleigh121 · 22/01/2019 11:21

@MissMoodyMoo that makes me feel so much better and the midwifes say you should feel things earlier aye! Thank you everyone and hope your pregnancies go well and congratulations xx

If baby is kicking and looking healthy then you have nothing to worry about!

I'm pretty thin so been feeling kicks since around 18 weeks and I hate it! Baby wakes me up at night jumping on my bladder...I have IBS too so some of the kicks are pretty painful :(

I feel her loads more when she is low in my tummy and not so much when she moves higher up, so for you it may be that the baby is higher! Rest assured you will feel movement soon in the next few weeks :)

Bumblebee39 · 22/01/2019 11:30

I have placenta previa (?) and started feeling movements at 18 weeks but this is no3

With each pregnancy I've felt it earlier but think it's because I know what it feels like?

Iswallowtoothpaste · 22/01/2019 12:53

I was reassured about the lack of movement able to be felt by me when I went for my 20 week scan. She was moving and flipping about like crazy and I couldn’t feel a thing!

Kayleigh121 · 22/01/2019 14:15

@iswallowtoothpaste yeah I was the same but doesn’t help I was in hospital and they told me I should be feeling him and I should know it’s him and my midwife has said the same. So got me worrying haha, but I’m just gonna take each day as it comes :) hope you’re doing well x

I am 22 + 4 and only began feeling movements about a week or so ago but I was the exact same, willing them to come! I do feel him every day but not all day just here and there.

Try not to worry they will be here before you know it Smile
