I'm 34 weeks and suffering, I have 24 hour a day pain just under right ribs,(it is even sore to touch there) and then also in my back, but just right sholder blade. I'm thinking it is just the baby BUT wouldn't it move it's feet or whatever away occasionally???? I think this is common, Is it????

Any suggestions please

Thanks Uki

I am feeling a bit brighter this morning. The rest of the scan was good, just the size and I felt quite down about it yesterday. Actually I think it has suddenly hit that this bub has to come out, and it was quite frightening when I realised how big he is.

Anyhow the obstetrician now wants to see us at 39 weeks (instead of 41 if I had not delivered). I hope he might decide not to let me go over dates - less time for LO to grow to a 'larger one'. And he said, like you, that size could be over estimated by 20 %. It seemed to be the head circumference that he was most interested in - which is already bigger than a normal term baby
Have found some backbone today and decided I am going to need all the help I can get to get that head out. So am off to finally buy some raspberry leaf tea, and to be good and do the peroneal massage I kept meaning to do... but never quite got round to

Hope you carry on feeling OK, and that your rib pain settles soon. I hope you get a chance to lie down and rest - if I remember I think you already have a DC to keep you busy so not sure if that might be difficult.

I will be looking out for your announcement too! Heres to meeting on the postnatal threads!
