Quickening

Hi all,

Can't find an answer for this anywhere! I'm almost 17 weeks with my first baby.

Today, among all the stretching sensations I felt was was like a bubbly rolling feeling against the muscles in the right side of my belly button (just below in fact). I know quickening can start from 16 weeks up, but does it feel like it's deep inside you or more a muscle/surface thing?

Felt like a fart brewing tbh Grin

I’ve seen it described as like a popping candy sensation, which seemed about right for me at that gestation.

Mine felt exactly like a muscle twitch and was about 16 weeks too.

Mine felt like a small fish flipping over - so a rolling sensation like you describe I suppose!

Sounds like baby! It can be deep or more to the surface, I'm 17+4 and felt a big rolling movement like that bang on 17 weeks.
