Hi I am 33 years old and this year my husband and I would like to try for a child.
I went for an ultrasound last week as back in Oct I did a smear test (all was ok) and it showed that i have a mass on my uterus.
They think its a polyp but have to wait until I am a few days over my period to rescan and see the lump again.
I am googling stuff and all I can find is polyps are found in menopausal women over 40/50... and im supposed to have loads of other symptoms like irregular periods (which I dont), bleeding (only during period or the odd time mid cycle)... totally freaking out..
i am scared that my periods are going to end and i cant have kids... im scared it could be cancer.. :( :(
anyone been through this???

I had a polyp found in early 30s, had very irregular periods and that was what was found when I was scanned (although I was told it was not the cause of the irregular periods and was an incidental finding, they settled down once it was out!!) I also panicked but happy to report had it removed fairly easily (minor op) and am now 29 weeks pregnant, got pregnant on third cycle of trying so I dont think it had any long term impact on my fertility and the gynae consultant I saw said it shouldn’t have done. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply.

I am curious as to what else it can be...

The Internet does not help much... I do not have any irregular periods, no bleeding, just got a bit of achy pain and the lump on scan.

I am so worried its cancer :(
