Disappearing bump and movements ...23 weeks

Does anyone else find their bump disappears sometimes during the day? I went to bed with a hard prominent bump and woke up without one. Movements do not seem as strong either so i am wondering if baby has shifted positions. I also have an anterior placenta which masks a lot of the movements.

If your movements have changed (frequency or strength) I would call your midwife. Probably nothing but always better to be reassured.

Thanks @NoSuchThing When i was at my last midwife appt she actually said don't worry about monitoring movement until i am further along. Don't get me wrong i have felt baby move, just bump feels softer than it did last night. Hmm

Sorry, only just seen this, I would still call either midwife or maternity unit. Your baby has probably just moved round, but for the sake of an hour or so of your time, get yourself checked out. I’m sure no decent midwife would want you to sit at home worrying.

You could try calling OP, but when I was concerned about movements at 23 weeks my midwife told me not to worry about monitoring them or noticing a pattern until at least 24 weeks. I too have an anterior placenta and at 23 weeks it’s very easy for baby to hide behind it so it masks some movement.

My bump disappeared the other day as well, then I felt a big movement and out popped the bump again so I think she had moved into my back more
