Morning ladies.

I think I'm in the beginnings of slow labour, Braxton-Hicks type tightnings most of the night, every 5 mins- not necessarily painful but I feel like iv been kicked in the tummy this morning as it's sore from them.

But my lady area... the lips feel like they're are unbelievably puffy and sore to wipe etc.

Anyone had this?

I hope I don't have days/week of this... I'm a bit broken

No advice but I’m suffering from the exact same thing! It’s really swollen (I’m 37 weeks)

Watching with interest

I had similar, but didn’t really notice it myself. When I had a stretch and sweep the midwife said ‘you’re very swollen down there!’

Funnily enough my face / lips were really puffy too, when I look back at photos. I wasn’t unwell / pre eclampsia or anything, think it’s just the effect that all that extra weight / fluid must sometimes have.

Thanks for replies ladies.

Baby is head down and engaged so assume it's got to be pressure from that too.

My whole tummy hurts, like poo pains but don't actually need a poo ( been about three times during night/this morning)

I am almost 36 weeks and I noticed a swollen and puffy downstairs when showering the other day too.

My sister asked me about this but I didn't have it with DC1.

She had her baby 8 days later lol
