Hi I have taken a pregnancy test from Sainsbury's and I think I can see a positive line but it's very faint. Has anyone else experienced this?
This would my first test and pregnancy so not sure what to expect. Would love some guidance as to what other people have experienced x

Post a picture of the test so we can have a look.

I'm a new member and It says I cannot post a picture yet? Is there a way of doing it? X

I’ve had the same thing today. But can’t post the pic unfortunelty. Try again in a few days x

Very faint lines are still a positive. Can you send a picture in a private message?

When I've taken a test i just knew deep down that I was pregnant. Both times. First pregnancy test that came back positive with my 1st DC, but was faint so took another and was quite clear, not sure why. Maybe take another and see how it comes back? They all suggest to do it first thing in the morning so your urine is stronger. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 scariest, yet loveliest moment finding out it's a positive!

I would be cautious with the Sainsbury's tests, they are notorious for evaps/false positives.

The Sainsbury’s tests are known for false positives - a very faint line. I had one and was definitely not pregnant. You need either a stronger line or a different test, I’m afraid.

Thank you all for your advice. So I took two Sainsbury's tests but both were very faint! So I decided to go for a clear blue digital test!
I am indeed pregnant! Only 1-2 weeks according to the test. However apps that I have downloaded say that I am 4 weeks. Can anyone shed some light? Xx

Go by the first day of your last period. That's the date your midwife will go by, but won't be confirmed til 1st scan (dating scan). Congrats!!! 😄

Oh, congratulations!

The test shows 1-2weeks from conception, while pregnancy dating takes place from the first day of your cycle, so there should be a two week gap between the dates if you have a regular 28(ish) cycle. Basically, that’s all as expected.
