How far gone am I? Clear blue accurate?

Hi everyone, first time poster. I’m wondering if you can give me your thoughts. I found out a week ago I am pregnant. Me and my partner have been trying since the Christmas holidays (18th first time and continued since) and I tracked it all on Ovia.

If I’m right a doctor will track it from my last period which was the 4th December so about 6 weeks? I have felt pregnant since Christmas with nausea and cramps but did some early tests which read negative. Got to Monday 13th Jan and then my breasts really started to hurt too so did another test and got a positive. I’ve just done a clear blue week indicator test however and although positive it says only 2-3 weeks pregnant. I’m just very confused as to how far along I am. In my neck of the woods we don’t get at initial dr appointment just straight to midwife in 2 weeks. When I filled in the forms for that I guesstimated 5 weeks but now unsure. Can I have imagined earlier symptoms? Are clear blue weeks indicators accurate?

Thanks in advance.

Clearblue helpfully gives a time frame since you ovulated. So if your cycle is 28 days, you tend to ovulate on day 14. So add two weeks to the Clearblue result.

Congratulations!Thanks

Thank you mummmmmy (sorry not sure how to tag people or anything yet). I have a crazy long cycle 37 days but that makes sense. :)

Clear blue tests measure from conception so you have to add 2 week to it. At your 12 week scan they will calculate your estimated due date.

Yes the combination of your long cycle and the Clear Blue indication weeks since ovulation means you are probably medically 6 weeks pregnant even if you only ovulated 3 weeks ago.

My last period was on the 3rd Dec and I ovulated around the 17th Jan. I normally have 31/32day cycles. Based on a 28 day cycle I'm about 7 weeks but when I take the other things into account I'm about 6 weeks and 4 days. So I would say you're probably around 5 weeks ish pregnant. With your longer cycle you're likely to have ovulated later.

If you type Nhs due date calculator in to google that is helpful at working things out because it takes into account cycle length.

Thank you all. It's all so exciting but staying calm & level headed as I know there's so much risk still. Just nice having an idea :) crazy hard keeping it to myself so good to have a rough count down to 12 weeks & hopefully a scan.
