Lidi have teamed up with baby box so if you watch the 17 videos that are only a couple of mins each you can get a baby box, which includes matress and a pack of nappies and wipes. Kinda helpful for those struggling to afford all the baby stuff as you could use it instead of mosses basket and cot bed. Also it's FREE but only IF you can collect from designated locations if not you just pay postage at $8.99ish which is about £6.50.

I thought there were SIDS concerns about those boxes?

Hartfordhq · 20/01/2019 10:19

If you watch the videos the boxes are to prevent SIDS as the baby bas nothing withing the box to block their airways, which more commenly happens if the baby has a soft toy, pillow, put on an adult bed, laying on their front or put on a sofa.

Should probably mention that I don't think those boxes comes with a blanket so you may need one that can be tucked in to prevent cover baby's fave but will update when our's arrives.

In addition I keep forgetting to add these tips I picked up from a book:

It can be helpful to set up a few 'changing stations' around the house in addition to a travel one as when you're tired it can be helpful to save trekking all over the house to change a diper.

For those with weak stomachs like myself a cheap dusk mask lined with a fragranced tumble dryer sheet can be a life saver.

I’ve seen this it’s a good little freebie.

But RE the box and mattress ...is this to be used for the baby to nap in? I’ve seen they use them in other countries, but this is my first and the first time I’ve heard about them. I just feel like it’s a bit odd? I feel like visitors might come round and see that my baby is napping in a box and wonder what on earth I was doing.

This is mega ignorant I know, just wondering how many people use these boxes really?!

Just had mine delivered going to use it for naps downstairs or maybe at my mums! I think all parents get given them in Finland and they have one of the lowest infant mortality rates. I think they are a great idea, it actually looks really nice and comes with a nice matress and fitted sheet.

Probably will feel a bit weird putting baby to sleep in a box!
