AM I PREGNANT?

I'm 14-17 DPO and I've been having symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and my belly is VERY swollen! Now here is the thing, I have taken multiple pregnancy tests and they have all come back negative. I want it to be that way, as I'm not financially ready to have a child. But I haven't had my period. It's a week late, I'm confused and worried.

If all the tests are negative and your period is a week late you’re either not pregnant or your dates are off. I thought my period was 19 days late when I tested positive but scans since have shown that my dates were off so I obviously ovulated later and my period was actually only about 4 days late.

I'd get checked by the doc for other explanations as a bloated belly at this stage wouldn't be a pregnancy indicator.

I'm in the same boat!
I posted photos on an earlier thread where I got the faintest positive on a blue dye (so faint DH says he truly can't see it 🙄) but literally 7 pink dye test are BFN. MN has agreed the faint positive was probably evap but still no AF and I "feel" pregnant with symptoms etc.
Sorry I can't help but will be following your post x

Help I'm going out my mind I done a lloyds early pregnancy test it come up with a faint line I'm 12 dpo is it possible to get a positive this early.

LauraBrown1 · 19/01/2019 12:06

@Roxy1987x they say the smallest or faint lines is still a positive result. The first test I did had half the people saying they couldn't even see it when I could. Best advice I can give you is try again in a couple of days with a first response test. They're brilliant. Mine came straight up very clear x

Roxy1987x · 19/01/2019 12:11

I've just seen some bad reviews on the lloyds hpt saying they are giving a false positive I did a couple of cheap test a week ago n they came back negative but this one I took yday morning and it's got a faint line x

I've been taking tests from home bargains, they're £1. My period is usually like clockwork, something just doesn't seem right. I've never felt like this before, I do FEEL pregnant!

Is it worth mentioning that I'm on antidepressants? I've heard that they can affect it

@Anon282 ooh sorry I've never heard that before. Maybe if you're still unsure in a couple of days try talking to a doctor , also they can perform a blood test there to know if you're definitely pregnant x keep me updated x

Roxy1987x · 19/01/2019 12:40

I've been feeling weird sicky feeling I'm not sure how to post pics on here or else I would post the test x

physicskate · 19/01/2019 14:12

Antidepressants don't cause false negatives. Testing too early can cause false negatives, but you would be experiencing pms symptoms (which are the same as early pregnancy symptoms. Pregnant enough for symptoms (caused by pregnancy) is positive enough for a pregnancy test.

How sure of your ov date are you?

Ax01otl · 19/01/2019 20:07

I would see you doctor there may be another reason if your feeling unwell and not pregnant you should get checked out. They can at least do a blood test as well.
