Itchy Nipples

Ok since I got pregnant.. now 28 weeks, both nipples have been extremely sore and itchy, to the point where it wakes me up at night and is driving me insane. I slather them in lanolin cream which soothes for all of about 10 minutes before they start itching again. Midwife had no clue why. Please help? Is there any other cream/lotion that can help? I'm losing the will. Thanks

Morning!

I literally posted about this yesterday - it was driving me NUTS!! I slathered mine in sudocreme and applied some to a cotton pad and put that in my bra too. This morning its like I've got different nipples!! x

I tried sudocreme and it did nothing for me! :( Glad yours has calmed down x

Mine don't seem to be as severe as you, but they have been slightly dry/itchy.
I massaged a tiny bit of coconut oil (just from the kitchen!) on them and it soothed them right away
Not sure if it's something that's recommended but maybe worth a try?

Maybe speak to a pharmacist or Dr to see if they can give you something a bit stonger.

I suffer from nipple eczema (even before I was pregnant) and I used the e45 anti itch cream. I’ve recently been using the Superdrug’s own nipple cream which helps.

Prior to pregnancy I was given a very mild steroid to put on the skin when the flare up was bad although I’m not sure if they recommend this when pregnant
