Zika virus

We are due to go honeymoon to the Maldives however we want to start trying for a baby straight after the wedding but we are aware of the risk of Zika virus. Can you get tests done so you can start trying before the six month mark

One other thing is to try and be really diligent about using mosquito repellant etc. If you don't get bitten it's not a problem. Or at least the risk you'd be bitten and not notice is really very low indeed.

Yes you can have tests done. We chose to wait the 6 months after our honeymoon but friends went to Bali at the same time as us and chose to have the tests. It was either £200 or £300. Can’t fully remember! X
