Who believes in the nub theory ?

What’s the percentage of accuracy anyone believe it’s correct ?

I have been reading lots on the nub theory. I’m not sure if I truely believe it’s accurate but I’m enjoying trying to work out what my baby is.

It’s definitely accurate it worked with both mine but you need a clear shot of it

That’s the part I’m finding tricky! Keep researching then looking at my scan picture.

It is interesting mines come out as a boy ! Il find out in a few days 🥰 most of them seem to come out correct but I’m just not sure 🤔 x

@sh13 have you got a pic of your babies nub? I just cannot work mine out!

It’s not a theory, it’s science! it was explained to me by a senior fetal medicine consultant when he told me I was having a boy at 12w. The only limitations are,
given you are talking about which way a really tiny nub is pointing in relation to the back, it can be hard to tell to untrained eyes (and even to trained ones).

Here is my baby’s nub at first I wasn’t sure if it was the nub I’m looking at, I posted in another group though an got all boy guesses xx

It is accurate if baby is in a good position and nub is shot clearly. Gestation is also important, as both nubs start off looking girly at an earlier gestation. DD’s scan had a very clear shot and looked like an 100% girl but due to being 12+3 there was still a slight chance of a rise of that makes sense.

Boy @sh13 it’s angled and has stacking.

Interesting colourbomb I have a friend who said the sonographer took a correct guess at her 12 wk scan, so maybe they do know the sex but can’t say x

Have you posted on ingender @sh13. I’m no way an expert just looks very boyish to me. My girls one is attached. My boys never had a visible nub on scan photos though.

Am very interested to know how it works i have my scan 13+2 and i want to know if it boy or girl already got dd.

1Rose19 that looks like a girl from the more bulbous forehead shape. Boys’ skulls slant backwards more.

Ingender got mine completely wrong. The woman who runs BabyNub.club is the only
one to say girl and she was correct. She did say it was a 'tricky' one so understood the boy guesses but when you have a clear shot plus someone who clearly knows what they are talking about then it can be quite accurate.

@TinyMarie ooo never heard of that one. That’s good that she got it correct when no one else did.

@1Rose19- nub looks like it could be behind shadow of the babies leg/bottom so I wouldn’t guess on that one. I’m not advanced in it and only been looking into it since about 2013. Try the posting on the one suggested above or the ingender site as forums like that see so many and do this daily.

@mumofone25 I can’t tell if that is a nub or a leg ? Im not too great either , there is a Facebook group that i used and got lots of guesses X

I don’t think the nub is showing on yours ? If you look on google you’ll see lots of pics of nubs an what they look like X
