Depends on your height

Crossfitgirl · 17/01/2019 21:47

It would only be concerning if you hadn't been trying to lose weight....
Have you been trying to? Or have you any reason you can think of for the weight loss?

I wouldn’t worry OP as long as the midwives are happy the baby is growing, I lost weight until the last few weeks of pregnancy and ds was a perfectly health 7lb 15oz

If you were overweight pre-pregnancy, then it isn't an issue. I list a stone, whichni regained weeks 26-33 and weeks 33-37 I've gained 7lbs. So I'm now 7lbs over my start weight.

it is OK to lose weight in the first & second trimester if your overweight or obese to begin with (I was told by a consultant). They just don’t recommend you actively dieting (so I was told).

Speak to your midwife and your next appointment about it if your worried though

silvertongue · 18/01/2019 08:29

Don't worry. I lost 10lbs in the first trimester from nausea and going off food, and only started gaining weight at about 20 weeks. I was a bit overweight to start with so I wasn't worried, and the baby was growing fine! I'm now 30 weeks and have put on 7lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight so I'm back on track for the recommended weight gain.

Babyno2mamabear · 18/01/2019 08:45

I lost 13.5lb up until week 20. Now I've put on about 5lb since then, so still 8.5lb lighter than I started at 24 weeks but midwife not worried as I was carrying some "excess" to start too! X
