hello!
my period has been just over two weeks late and I took three tests today and they all came back positive. one was a cheapo sainsburys one that had been in my glovebox for months (positive result) but wasn't sure as how reliable it would be so got a box of two cheap ones from tesco (both positive results).
are those test reliable? was planning on going back to the shops tomorrow and picking up one of the more expensive ones?
i looked online and the calculator said I am about five weeks along, no signs except exhaustion and missed period.
just super anxious because last pregnancy i wasn't aware of but resulted in a miscarriage pretty early.
i had started sertraline end of december and switched to mitrazine on monday. i really want to stop taking the mitrazine as i really want to do all i can to make it a viable pregnancy, but can't get an appointment with gp until the 28th.
just very very anxious as i have no one to talk to about this and the more i think about it the more worried i become.

Pretty sure you can’t get a false positive but the test works by detecting the pregnancy hormone HCG in your system, if it’s positive then you have it. If you didn’t have the hormone, there wouldn’t be a line, so congratulations!

I agree with @Josico58 you cannot get a false positive. Congrats OP I hope it all goes well for you 😊

I used the £1 tesco strip ones both were positive. Tested with clear blue next day, also positive. I was only 3 weeks at that piibt so obviously very sensitive!

If the test is positive your pregnant, your miscarriage sounds like it was over a month ago, so the tests are accurate.
