Hi

I was wondering what to buy in terms of clothing. I am half tempted to buy a load of sleepsuits and just let the baby live in sleep suits until 4months go by..

Please help.

I don't know what to buy and how many quantities x

Hi I'm also due in April but this is baby 5. From past experience this time I am only buying sleepsuits. I got so excited when I found out baby 3 was a girl I went mad on skirts, dresses, tights and cute outfits. Until baby is here and you actually have to try and get them on and off and they have buttons in odd places, you can change a nappy upto ten times a day and trying to constantly pull tights/trousers back up on a tiny baby can get frustrating lol I've got some really sweet baby grows this time with matching hats. Il probably only buy about 4 newborn ones incase baby is bigger than expected and maybe 20 0-3. I'll buy her a coat (not bothering with a snowsuit) but I generally find in April/may time so long as they have a good thick blanket and wear a vest, sleepsuits and hat they often don't need a coat

Due with Dc4 April, I only really put them in vests and sleepsuits until there about 6 months old. I have a few cardigans if chilly. I never really bothered with outfits for my others, they seem comfier in suits when lying and sleeping. I prefer leggings and tops when they can sit or crawl. With my first I didn't buy much newborn sizes went for 0-3 but all my babies have been tiny so our first my husband had to make a dash to asda for tiny baby sizes. Don't go mad with the early sizes they do grow out of them quickly. Our first was a puker so we had about 10-12suits and vests and washed alot. We had bright colours and prints and passed them down to the next child, so if you plan more, save them

I've seen asda have 3 for £5 or 3 for £7

I haven't got any newborn grows and was thinking of getting baby straight into 0-3m

Do babies actually stay in this category for 3months? Or do they grow out after a few weeks??

You will probably find that 0-3 drowns a newborn baby, a friends just had a 9lb baby, and he's wearing newborn as 0-3 is huge.
It depends how fast they grow, how big they were at birth, etc etc. One of mine was in 0-3 until about 5 months, another was out by 2 months.

Get some short sleeved/legged rompers... The mini club ones are great! That's what my DD lived in from May onwards last summer!
