Hi there, I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and I'm super uncomfortable, I'm bored, I'm struggling to sleep, I have a sore back and my ribs...well they are about to cave.

I was wondering if I could request to be induced only a few days after my due date or on due date as i don't think I could mentally prepare myself to be pregnant for any longer!!

Can I beg or will they make me wait?

I ended up being induced for my first pregnancy because my waters had broken and labour wasn't imminent- risk of infection increases. The birth was awful. It is worth looking at the statistics for increased intervention required for induction eg. I ended up having an Episiotomy and ventouse but also forceps or c section rates also increase. I know the last few weeks in pregnancy can drag on but I was adamant with my second I would do anything to avoid induction

Its worth holding out for, the mental preparation for being uncomfortable is nothing compared to what may be eventuality. I will spare u the details, there are a lot of women with birth stories, i dont need to give u mine, but just let nature take its course, its better than to be prodded and poked around for so many different reasons.
I was induced first time and i do not want the same again if i can help it.... x
