Braxton Hicks?

Experiencing a lot of pain for the past 24 hours. My hips feels as though they’re being separated and I’ve got pains down the sides of my legs. My back is also hurting quite badly. My stomach feels totally different from yesterday, it’s constantly tight and uncomfortable. I’ve got the usual pressure in my vagina with the odd shooting pain and been going to the toilet to empty my bowels really frequently. My stomach feels heavy as well (stupid comment with a baby inside it) but I haven’t really experienced this before. It’s at the bottom of my bump and very tender and painful. Google doesn’t help as it will mention a contraction but not actually say what a Braxton hick feels like so I’m not sure if that’s what I’m experiencing. I’ve had no show or waters breaking so not concerned I’m in actual labour but anyone got any advice to ease the pains I’m in and what’s causing them? Thanks :)

How far along are you

Braxton hicks can be painful . I don't know why they say it can't. This is my 5th pregnancy. I can only tell you how I feel, but I'm overdue. I have spd which is the feel your pelvis is pulling apart, my legs often feel like they're out of their sockets and when a braxton hicks happens my whole belly goes hard, hurts under my ribs and it has been hurting like mild period cramps, but I'm guessing that's because baby is really far down and when it tightens it hurts even when I change position.

If in any doubt ring your maternity wing. They can advice you and don't feel stupid or put off ringing them. Believe me they've hurd everything before. My friend went into hospital thinking she was in labour and turned out she had trapped wind. So honestly, they have seen and heard everything before xx

Thanks for posting this! I had exact same weds- Saturday last week. I’m now 35 weeks FTM. My MW mentioned Braxton Hicks but this was not was I was expecting them feel like. Woke up Sunday feeling lighter and no heavy feeling in my legs nor pain into sides of my thighs. Other MW thought he had partially (1/5) engaged on Friday but potentially bobbed back up.
