Obsess with me over pregnancy test?

The standard test was taken with morning urine, the digital test was taken about 30 mins later with a few drops I managed to squeeze out Blush
Fiance is delirious with the man flu and says 'nuh uh' but I say 'yuh uh!' and the lady behind the counter at the pharmacy said 'looks positive' when I showed pic of standard test, and yet CB says 'Not pregnant'. The standard test was an early response test and it's very faint. I'm just not sure, I have no idea when I ovulated or how late I am.
My fiance and I have been using the rhythm method to not conceive (we want a baby so weren't trying very hard to not conceive, but we weren't sure of the timing so we weren't trying to conceive either), and he has been sick so we only had unprotected sex once this month and it was a day before my period was due normally but I have PCOS so once in a blue moon my ovulation go haywire. It's now 15 days after we had sex, so 15 days late technically but if I ovulated around the time of sexytimes then I am pfft.. 1 day late? It's very confusing, I know.
Just look at it please and let's obsess! The positive line is extremely faint, but it is a line.

Early Response looks positive to me, in regards to the clearblue it may be a bit early to detect anything. And I also think they always have two lines on their tests.

Mischyf · 16/01/2019 11:12

The early response test was an off brand early response test, it's the Tescos cheap early response test I think? The paper said 1 line in each = positive :)

That looks positive to me too early for cb to pick up

Keep us updated i would test again tommorow morning and see if it gets darker.

Fingers crossed for you hehe xx

Sorry OP what I meant is I could see you had taken the CB test apart and from my beliefs these ones always have two lines

Bunnybaubles · 16/01/2019 17:11

My early response tests were always very faint, they never darkened as time went on either, with my last pregnancy or this one and I'm 13 weeks, had my scan today 😊

The pink dye test is positive.

The clear blue digital is negative. The 2 lines don't mean anything on a digital test.

Mischyf · 16/01/2019 17:46

Gonna test again tomorrow with another early one and a normal standard one, think I will leave the digital ones for another few days. So scared the pink line is an evap line but it looked faint pink to me. The paper said it detected 10 UI/L or whatever so even if I am, it is very very early days. Trying not to think about it too much but I can't help myself!

Why is it too early after 2 weeks to pick up ? .. the 2 week wait is usually erm 2 weeks. I'm not a test expert at all. Have only used Tesco cheap ones and results have been accurate after two week wait ie first day of missed period

hammeringinmyhead · 16/01/2019 23:49

In this case the OP doesn't know when she ovulated so the two week wait is moot.

penelopepig · 17/01/2019 00:20

To me that looks positive so if that's what you are hoping for then good luck!

As for the timings your post made me laugh as we were the same, not really trying but not actively not trying either. I also have PCOS and we conceived on literally the one time we had sex in two months! S'what happens when a brewery hosts a party at your house... Wink

Today's test was a big fat negative I can't argue with. No hint of a line. Today I used one of the strips that are 25 UI/L. I feel pretty defeated and saddened by it if I'm honest. All the other signs point to yes, and the day before I tested and got the positive I remember sitting in my car and a lightbulb went off above my head and I thought: Oh wow, I'm pregnant. It was just an epiphany moment. Last time that happened, I was pregnant but lost it a week later (confirmed by doc). I'll be over here in my corner, and I will test again at the weekend (who am I lying to, I will test every day until period comes) and if anything changes, I'll post again.

@Mischyf good luck OP!
haha I said the same 'test again in few days'
*wake up the next morning - 'where's my bloody pregnancy test!
The photos you posted looked like a positive to me so that's a good sign. You never know you may be so early that it's hard to pick up on all of the sticks x keep us updated!
