I’m 32 weeks with my second child. I’ve had 2 miscarriages between pregnancies which has lead me to be constantly scared of “jinxing anything” . I just started buying some girl clothes a couple of weeks back. Now wondering when to start washing them, get the crib out the loft etc. When should I start getting ready?!

I was exactly the same, i was scared if i got ready something bad would happen (sounds craxy written down but i was petrified). I eventually started washing my DS's clothes and bedding as soon as i finished work at 38 weeks, which was lucky as I had him at just over 39 weeks. I had bought all of his clothes by about 30 weeks and had everything in his nursery, even his cot set up, at 5 months pregnant. The only thing I didn't have in my house until he was home was the pram, this was at my MIL's. I can imagine you are scared of jinxing anything and I'm so sorry for your miscarriages. I was scared too, but I just thought that in reality there is no way me having his stuff ready would lead to anything medically going wrong. I'd say it is definitley better to be prepared incase your LO decides to meet you early! Good luck and enjoy your little nesting period!!❤❤

I wouldn’t leave it much longer but there’s equally no huge rush at 32 weeks. I’d say by 36 weeks everything should be in order.

Thanks! I might send hubby up the loft the weekend. Our first child is a boy and I have a box full of his clothes, vests and sleep suits ready to wash and use again. I think I’ll start having a sort through the weekend. I know it’s crazy to think like it but can help constantly being paranoid!
