Any one else gone off meat?!

Hi, I'm 14 weeks today and over the past couple of weeks have started to go off meat completely, despite being a pretty committed carnivore before getting pregnant. It started with chicken (which I always considered the least offensive of all the meats!) but now it seems to be everything. Has any one else experienced this? I didn't really suffer from MS so it's not like I associate meat with feeling sick or anything like that.

I've gone off chicken since finding out I was pregnant in Aug and haven't eaten it since, I had to have sausages for Christmas dinner instead of turkey cause I couldn't face that either :( fine with all other meats though so not sure what on earth it is about chicken I cant stand!

Yep chicken is the worst for me, I constantly think it seems under cooked the texture is just wrong in my mouth which then puts me off all off it

Haha I bet he loved that, Thetigerwhocameto!

I'm the same with chicken, poster Ccec and Lovewinemorethanhusband. Seems odd, I would have thought it would be red meat I'd have gone off first, I think it's the texture of chicken that first started to repulse me!

I went off all meat about 6 weeks in and only until recently (17 weeks) I've been able to slowly reintroduce it to my diet.

I also went off absolutely all vegetables - in any shape or form. I can now eat them again without feeling sick but they give me terrible bloating problems :(

Yep both times, especially chicken.

Me too! It started with chicken like I can have some meat such as ham on pizza or a pasta but anything more than that makes me feel sick. I have also gone off veg especially broccoli and carrots and I normally love veg x

Yep. With DC2 I went off meat completely. Could only handle it with tongs to cook for DH and DC1, and that still turned my stomach. Back to normal once DC2 (7) was evicted though.

On the other hand, when pregnant with DC1 I went right off bacon. Like the idea of eating it from time to time now, but 18 years later it usually still makes me gag.
