Swollen legs, ankles and feet, plus spd

I'm overdue and in my last pregnancy I blew up like a balloon with swelling. My swelling this time isn't that bad compared. But it is still pretty visible and uncomfortable to the point I can feel it throbbing and I can occasionally feel the water moving in my legs. On top of that I have horrible spd, where it feels as if my legs are ripping from my pelvis and I have to wiggle to click them back in place.

I have told the midwife this, but she just shrugged and said it's all part and parcel of pregnancy. The exact words my 'darling' OH says when I moan about being uncomfortable.

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips of reliving the pain? It's getting worse the more overdue I am getting and it's not luke I can rest up all the time with working from home and a toddler to look after 😞

How overdue are you?

I would personally ring the maternity ward and tell them about your swelling.
Have you had a recent blood pressure check?

I was due on friday. Blood pressure is always normal. I always feel like my midwife appointments are always a waste of time. My midwife doesn't seem bothered because I have had previous pregnancies. When I had my first they couldn't do enough to up and used to come and see me at home. Nearly 16 years on and everything's changed.

Please ring the hospital or see your gp if you still have concerns

I saw the midwife today. She said baby is big and fully engaged. She said that is linked to the swelling and the spd. She said to put my legs up. Easier said than fone when you've got a toddler to look after.
