I think you need to call 101. That sounds quite concerning and you need medical advice this evening.

How many weeks pregnant are you?
Things can change quite quickly when it comes to pre eclampsia, and you should call triage if you feel those symptoms.
Hope it's nothing OP, but I would definitely get seen x

I'm 37 weeks. I wasn't sure if it was something that could come on all of a sudden and because my headache has eased off and my blood pressure was ok when i seen my midwife on thurday I did mention the pain/ ache and the heartburn but she wasn't as concerned because my blood pressure was ok I'm going to ring 101 would rather be safe then sorry

Can you call your labour ward?

I had preeclampsia which was fortunately managed for a couple of weeks so I made it to 36 weeks but I was in and out of the labour ward for monitoring nearly every day.

The fact you were fine a couple of days ago means very little.

Take care x

I was admitted to hospital for 2 weeks with pre-eclampsia, it was missed for a while because my blood pressure was normal most of the time through the day but rocketed sky high every night. You need to phone triage and they will bring you in to be monitored straight away

This is scaring me as i was at drs today for same symptoms vomiting at night migraines at night and in the morning visual disturbances swelling to hands and feet.

I was in hosp last week due to reduced fetal movement and had protein and leucocytes in my urine however my bp keeps rising and then dropping today it was 116/97 why is bottom number so high when its usually around 60 odds.

This is my 4th dc and with my 3rd i had same symptoms never diagnosed with pe though and lost my vision was kept in hospital for suspected blood clot on the brain ... why did they not check for pe.

My midwifes don't even check for gestational diabetes.

They didn't inform me i was severly anemic either with all 3 of my previous pregnancys i don't feel safe trusting them with mine or my babys life and my hospital is no better.

Courtneybrown · 14/01/2019 23:07

Also like OP i have been very breathless I'm just fed up of them putting me to the side

I've come out of lurking to say please please please get yourself checked over by a medical professional ASAP, I developed a raging headache at about 30 weeks and was concerned I had preeclampsia but it turned out I had meningitis and was very poorly! I also know someone who had similar symptoms to you and it turns out she had fluid on her brain and needed emergency brain surgery. I don't mean to scare you but I do want you to take this seriously and don't ignore what your body is telling you

How are you feeling?

LAURENALLANAH · 15/01/2019 17:32

Had a emergency appointment with a midwife today. Not my midwife she said my blood pressure was fine and " I'm afraid I haven't met many lady's past 36 weeks with a smile on their face, I'm sorry I don't have a miracle cure" and I felt like a right idiot. I struggle talking to people at the best of times and along with all the other stuff and the cough I have considering I'm severely asthmatic and have had attacks in the past they might be a bit more concerned but obv not my doc surgery also told me I couldn't have an appointment and I would have to wait in the walk in centre to be seen. I'm really not a dramatic person rarely go to the doctors and this is the reason why. I do wonder why I pay so much in taxes to feel like I'm doing something wrong when asking for help Hmm

If you're not happy then call triage at the hospital. You are at term so baby can come safely if needs be.

I developed pre eclampsia postnatally and 48 hours after being discharged from hospital where my bp was stable. My symptoms were predominantly a terrible headache.

If in doubt, get a second opinion, it really isn't worth the risk. I always try to remember that I will most likely never see these people again so it doesn't matter what they think! Good luck!
