Anyone know if it's safe to dress wild game when pregnant? Mainly pheasant.

Would they not get a bit pecky?

pajamallama · 14/01/2019 21:29

Formal wear or casual?

Bigonesmallone3 · 14/01/2019 21:30

Depends on how much they like the outfit

Reccy2018 · 14/01/2019 21:30

I don't get it. But basically always check the nhs website. If you shouldn't do it, it'll be on there

Putting clothes on a wild bird is very dangerous and not recommended. Even if you're not expecting.

It's a toxoplasmosis threat, I believe.

And they're not really wild are they? Bred by humans, to not fear us. Too fat and stupid to fly away very fast.

Like most things it’d probably be fine but if possible try to get someone else to do it mainly due to the risk of parasites etc.

Good question. I’m not sure as the gut could carry salmonella or listeria. I’d get a non pregnant person to do it to be on the safe side.

Apparently, you can pick up avian flu from a carcass...

It's fine. Same level of risk as gardening.
