Hi everyone! Has anyone had Strep B during pregnancy. I’ve just been told I have it and don’t know what to expect. I’m 37 weeks. Thanks in advance x

You'll need IV antibiotics during labour, in order to protect baby from the risks associated with exposure during birth. It can make newborns unwell, but IV antibiotics will prevent this.

It's much better to know that you have it than not.

Thanks @TheSubtleKnifeAndFork I’m pleased I know and have a midwife appointment on Wed. Money well spent on the test so at least we can have the antibiotics.
