Newly pregnant and so far am lucky enough not to have bad morning sickness at the moment. But... I feel awful, my stomach goes from the thought of food making me feel and think I am going to be sick, to being so hungry I feel like I am going to retch with the hunger. It's like a switch. It's like I am suffering from fragile hang over tummy all the time. Awful. Driving in the dark making me nauseous, so time of year not helping, as nearly always dark driving to and from work. It's just weird, and fairly unpleasant feeling hungover all the time. Any tips? Was nearly 11am (after 6.30am start) before I managed a few ginger biscuits and tea today. This is normal right?

Well I think a lot of people have it, but if it’s all day and you are struggling to eat I would see a Dr.
I saw a Dr this pregnancy and have medication, otherwise I get dehydrated. I feel as if I could be sick just about every moment of the day though.
People keep telling me what a good sign it is..... doesn’t make it feel better though. Flowers

A good sign lol, well I hope there are not many more "good" signs like that Confused

Thanks though. I got some of the sea sickness bands that are supposed to work in acupuncture pressure points. They help me survive the driving, just have to remember to wear long sleeves everywhere for now. Hopefully by end of 1st trimester this phase will go away

I’m with you, I’m counting down the weeks and clinging to the hope 12 will be the turning point.
How many weeks are you?
I am almost 10, feel like I can make it.....

GabbyGal · 14/01/2019 20:48

I can relate, nausea started around week 7, got a lot worse around week 10 and for the next two weeks I constantly felt like I was about to be sick. 12+2 now and it’s been easing for the past 4 days, today I’ve had very little nausea. So there is light at the end of the tunnel!

I was only sick 3 times but felt atrocious, huge food aversions until ~15 weeks, thought I’d never eat again. Now 34weeks and I promise you (for most folk) it gets better. And quite suddenly. Only thing I can’t stand now is salad leaves. Try and eat what you can when you can. Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy.
