Babies sex/gender

Okay so I did a little post the other day about how some people can guess if they're going to have a baby boy or baby girl..
I didn't seem to get many decent replies as people started kicking off with the whole 'don't say gender, it's sex' 'there are 70 different genders you baby could be' debate.... 🙄 😴
So I decided to start a fresh and as the question again. I keep having dreams of a baby boy and I picture myself having a baby boy whereas I would love my first to be a girl (would love either, it's just what I imagine) but I feel like I could not see myself with a daughter. It's weird. Did anyone else guess their babies sex before they found out?

Yes. I didnt find out but convinced i was having a girl. Everyone around me thought girl. It was to the point where I think I'd have needed to adjust if she was a boy. She wasnt. She was a girl. With my 2nd I thought I saw on the scan. I was less sure woth 2nd. Both girls. I didnt find out before they were born though

@TheRealHousewifeofCheshire oh so you just knew! How strange is that but amazing. I do feel like if like to wait until baby is here and try my best not to find out at around the 20 week scan point but I'm so impatient! I'm tired of buying plain white and grey babygrows and such and would love to add some colour to the nursery 😂

I just knew yes. I had a strong feeling but also dont know if that came from my preference too. I just couldn't see myself with a boy. It sounds mad and I'd have loved my baby whatever. I would've had to reset though i think. We also just couldn't choose any boys names. We painted the bedroom and it ended up looking pinkish rather than the neutral colour i thought.

Don't anout buying clothes.... you'll get loads when he or she arrives.

I thought I was having a girl but we found out yesterday that baby is a boy! (Male...sorry...)

We didnt have a preference at all, I am over the moon, DS will be a big brother to a little brother. I love it.

FeelingFlat · 14/01/2019 11:23

I was very sure it was a boy, I had the feeling it was a boy and all of the old wives tales said boy. People who guessed on my skin and bump shape said boy. The very few baby dreams I had were girls though. I was very surprised to give birth to a girl!!

LauraBrown1 · 14/01/2019 11:23

@whiteonesugar awww
Ah don't worry I'm not fussed about the whole gender thingy 😂 it was just picky mums on my feed trying to tell me I shouldn't presume my baby will be a boy or girl blah blah 💤😂😊

Ah that's so nice. I bet he's over the moon he's going to have a little brother to grow up with x

@FeelingFlat so it was a girl all that time! 😊
Can you tell me what you mean by all the feelings of it being a boy because I think that's maybe like how I feel.
See now I'm pregnant I just picture having a boy, like I have visions of my baby dressed in little dinosaur outfits and playing with toy tractors and such but ideally I would love a little girl. Just the whole idea of going shopping when she's older for girls clothes together and plaiting her hair, painting her nails. I would love that 😊
I guess only time shall tell xx

I was absolutely convinced my first baby was a boy, we didn't find out til the birth and i was completely shocked she was a girl . Before then I always pictured myself with 3 boys ! Couldn't imagine having girls.

Second baby I didn't really have a feeling, but I'd looked at nub theory and after my 12 week scan I just knew she was a girl.

Pregnant again now, 12 weeks today and I have a boy feeling this time but honestly I think it's just because I'm thinking, surely not 3 girls in a row lol. But I'm probably wrong !

We don’t know what we are having but I feel like it’ll be a girl even though everyone is saying a boy because of the way bump is -_- Guess we’ll find out when it arrives!

Fundays12 · 14/01/2019 19:12

With my first I had no idea, my second I was sure was boy so sure I told dh in Asda before our gender scan I thought he was looking at the wrong clothes rail (he was at the girls one) and this time my instinct says girl as do my dreams having had 2 boys I wonder if it maybe another boy as it’s more likely.
