Confusion over pregnancy tests....

Hello

I am confused over pregnancy test results I’ve had today. I did one first thing (so first wee of the day) and it was a digital one and said I was pregnant. I then went out and bought two more and did them after drinking A LOT! And they’ve come out as negative. I did a digital one yesterday and it said not pregnant too. My period should have started yesterday.

Was the positive test a false positive? I should only be about 2 weeks so is it that I am pregnant and the hormones were stronger this morning and so got picked up?

I think you're probably pregnant but only just have enough hormone for the test to pick up. Other tests like first response early response will probably be positive because they are more sensitive than digital ones

As PP said. Plus you’ve then drank a lot which dilutes it. Congratulations though as it sounds like you are, false positive is very rare!!

Just use morning wee and do another one to confirm. Then step away from the tests! I was obsessed and must of done 20 tests in the first month! Xx

Having read some of these threads I think I might get another test tomorrow and test again on Tuesday, as the hormone goes up after 48 hours?!

@mamaapril yes I’m going to test in 48 hours then that’s it! After that I’ll contact the local gynae services and see what they have to say, I can totally see why you’d test over and over tho!!

Hahaha yes, and IC means internet cheapie (~20p per test from Amazon) I did a few of these just to make extra sure and to check I still was.
