11 weeks and bleeding

I'm hoping someone here could help/give reassurance because my anxiety is through the roof ☹️

I'm 11 + 2 and started bleeding/spotting three days ago. Yesterday I went for a light run and when I came back my underwear was stained. I phoned 111 and spoke to an out of hours GP who said I'm having a threatened miscarriage. It can go one or two ways so to monitor it. If it becomes heavy and painful to go to A&E, if it continues phone my GP on Monday morning who can refer me to the EPU.

Over the past couple of days I've continued to bleed, and it's getting ever slighting worse from being on and off, to leaving marks on a pad. I've no pain and no clots which it's the only positive at the moment.

I've since found out that it could be days until I'm seen in EPU, I really don't know how I'm going to cope waiting until then. My regular scan is on Wednesday so I'm hoping that'll be the longest I'll have to wait. But I've been counting down the hours to call the GP all weekend. Has anyone else experienced the same and it's been ok?

I'd be grateful for any support

@clare249 let me know how it goes for you!
I'm 9 +2, I had my first midwife app the other week and while I haven't had any bleeding myself, she did tell me it's completely normal for it to happen. I hope you can get some reassurance soon and it's all okay x

Hi OP, I’m 12+2 and had some bleeding yesterday. I went to A&E in the maternity hospital this morning, they did a scan and internal exam and everything is fine, they think the bleeding was just a burst blood vessel from the placenta growing. They said bleeding is really common and they’re really only concerned when it’s heavier than a period. But they said I was right to go in if I was worried, so I would recommend getting checked out if you’re concerned.

Also because I’m over 12 weeks and didn’t know my blood type they checked that because if you’re Rhesus Negative and have a bleed over 12 weeks they give you an Anti D injection. Just something to keep in mind if you hit 12 weeks and are still bleeding.

If it’s only spotting with no pain or clots then everything is probably perfectly fine xx
